That’s why CEFALY Renew includes unlimited one-on-one video sessions with your CEFALY Coach. Your coach can teach you how to use the device, help you adjust the stimulation intensity so it feels good, and answer any questions you have.

How does the CEFALY Renew subscription work?
Instead of buying the CEFALY device outright and purchasing electrodes, you pay $45-$47 each month for a plan that includes use of the CEFALY Connected plus electrodes. There’s no commitment; cancel whenever you want. Just return your CEFALY device in the original packaging — we’ll pay the shipping.
What’s included in my CEFALY Renew subscription?
The subscription includes:
- A CEFALY Connected with case and charger
- 3 electrodes per month
- A lifetime warranty for any issues that may arise (excluding gross negligence or error)
- A device upgrade every 2 years for no additional cost
- Complimentary personal coaching sessions and support
Can I really cancel anytime?
Yes! If you decide CEFALY isn’t working for you, just return the device. We’ll even pay the shipping costs. If you decide you’d like to buy CEFALY Connected outright instead of paying for the subscription, let us know and we’ll help you make the switch
How long does it take to see results with CEFALY?
For relief of migraine symptoms: When you’re new to CEFALY, you should feel relief after your first few ACUTE treatment sessions. For the best results, CEFALY’s ACUTE mode should be used at the very earliest sign of a migraine attack.
For migraine prevention: To see the best results for migraine prevention, you should use the CEFALY PREVENT mode daily for 2-3 months. If you experience even a small improvement in your symptoms in the first weeks, this means you’re responding to the CEFALY treatment. Keep using your CEFALY consistently, and you should experience less frequent migraine attacks.
Is CEFALY Renew a rent-to-own program?
No. CEFALY Renew is a monthly subscription that includes use of the CEFALY Connected device. If you decide you want to end your subscription and purchase the device outright, contact our Patient Care Services. Or, if you’d rather just buy a new device, you can! CEFALY is HSA/FSA eligible, and financing is available through Affirm and PayPal.
Can I cancel my subscription and keep the device?
No. If you cancel CEFALY Renew, you must return your device. We’ll pay the return shipping cost and send you a shipping label. If you don’t return your device within 30 days of canceling, a termination fee will be charged.
How is CEFALY Renew different from a payment plan?
CEFALY Renew is not a payment plan to purchase the device in installments. It’s an ongoing subscription that includes use of the device plus replacement electrodes for long-term migraine treatment. If you’d prefer to purchase CEFALY outright, we do offer flexible financing with Affirm and PayPal Credit.
Can I pay for CEFALY Renew with my HSA or FSA?
Yes! CEFALY Renew is HSA/FSA eligible.
Can my health insurance cover CEFALY Renew?
No. At this time, health insurance does not cover CEFALY devices or CEFALY Renew.
Can I use a discount or promo code for CEFALY Renew?
No. Discount codes apply only to device purchases.
Can I use my device trade-in discount on CEFALY Renew?

Do I need a prescription for CEFALY?
No. CEFALY is available without a prescription.
What if I need hypoallergenic electrodes?
Choose the CEFALY Renew plan that includes 3 hypoallergenic electrodes/month for $47.
We recommend hypoallergenic electrodes for anyone with a known acrylate allergy, or who experiences an allergic reaction (rash) on the forehead after using standard electrodes.
(Please note that the skin under the electrode may appear red or blotchy after a treatment session. This effect is normal, and is caused by increased local blood flow to the skin. Usually it disappears within 15 minutes.)
